STAY DETAILS

Both the code to the lockbox and WiFi credentials will be provided upon check-in.

There are two entrances, one at the front of the house on Deering Avenue. The second is on the Ashmont Street side, a blue door behind a screen door. The lock box is located on the Ashmont Street door.

Off street parking is located to the left of the house on Deering Avenue. Two spaces for our condo are on the left side of the driveway, one in front of the other. Please park on the far left side of the driveway, furthest from the house.

As the house has 125-year-old windows, use care when opening and use the screens. Fans can be found in both bedroom closets. Air conditioners are also in second floor closets if needed, but please remove and drain them completely when you leave.

Hand wash all pots, pans, and baking dishes and trays. Please do not put them in the dishwasher. All plates, glasses, bowls, and silverware are dishwasher safe.

The microwave is also a convection oven. Remove the metal rack if you are microwaving. If you are using the convection oven, remove the glass turntable and use the metal rack.

Recycling/trash is picked up on Monday mornings on Ashmont Street. Place all recycling in the large blue rolling recycling can outside the kitchen door (cans, glass bottles/jars, broken down/flattened cardboard). All other trash must be placed in the purple city trash bags (found under the sink). Portland has a trash program where you purchase bags for your garbage. On pick-up mornings ONLY, wheel the blue recycling can out to the Ashmont curb and place trash bags atop it. Note: Portland is strict about bringing cans back to the house the same evening as morning pick-up.

The television is an Amazon Fire TV so you can access all of your streaming stations directly using the Amazon Home Screen. Please log in with your own credentials and log out before you leave.

Sheets and blankets can be found in each room. Towels are located in the cabinet at the top of the stairs.

Please keep an eye on the water when using the shower: it can easily drip onto the bathroom floor.

HOUSE RULES

  1. We live in a converted 1900s New Englander home, so please be respectful of our neighbors on the other sides of the walls (they work from home). You’ll notice that Woodfords Corner is extremely quiet. We ask that you respect this while at our condo, especially when windows are open. Sound carries both inside and outside.

  2. We tolerate no disruptive behavior. With any incident involving HOA complaints or those to the police about excessive noise, we will insist that you leave immediately.

  3. Our HOA forbids smoking on the premises, and nothing is to be stored on front porch or sidewalks.

  4. Disposal of trash and recycling must comply with the city’s Trash & Recycling pay-as-you-go program. City trash bags are the responsibility of Renter. Trash and recycling is to be placed curbside on Ashmont Street by 6:30 am on Mondays, and must be pulled back from the curb by 8 pm on the same service day to comply with city rules.
